Blogging break

Hi everyone! As you may have noticed I have posted almost everyday since starting the blogging challenge, but now that is over and so are scheduled posts that had done while I had some form of time to do so. But now uni has picked up again and I'm in week 5, I had a revision test and two online quizzes last week, this week I have two online quizzes and a stat assignment due. The next few weeks until break this is my life, something due every single week, I am behind on my chemistry study which is extremely hard to catch up on and biomechanics is picking up into things I don't understand *sigh* doing physics and chemistry is horrible, especially since I am not a fan of either. However, three weeks until break and then I will be back when I am not working to post a few things, schedule some reviews to pop-up during next term of uni! So I won't be posting anything for the next few weeks or until I have everything under control because I have two essays to write during my break as well as some stat assignments, you know the things that I don't like doing at all.

Waiting on Wednesday #9

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that allows readers to showcase eagerly awaited upcoming releases. The week I have been waiting on Secret by Brigid Kemmerer!

As you know I released the cover on the blog last friday and extremely glad that we have a cover!

Nowhere is safe. Not even home…

Nick Merrick is stretched to the breaking point.

Keep his grades sky-high or he’ll never escape his hometown.
Keep his brother’s business going or the Merricks will be out on the street.
Keep the secret of where he’s going in the evenings from his own twin—-or he’ll lose his family.

Keep his mind off the hot, self-assured dancer who’s supposed to be his “girlfriend’s” partner.

Of course there’s also the homicidal freak Quinn has taken to hanging around, and the Elemental Guide counting the hours until he can try again to kill the Merrick brothers.

There’s a storm coming. From all sides. And then some.

Nick Merrick, can you keep it together?

If you have read any of my posts about the elementals series than you know that Nick is by far my favourite and a WHOLE book devoted to Nick and Adam (okay Quinn too I guess, but I am not a fan) which will be released 28th January 2014! So far yet closer each day!

15 Day Book Blogger Challenge: Day 15

Day 15: Who are your blogging mentors?

It is the last day of the book blogger challenge and the daily posts that have been appearing will slowly end as I have tests to study for, notes to write and 3 weeks of uni to go before I get two week mid-sem break.

I don't really have blogging mentors only blogger friends, which you can read about here!

So that's all for the 15 day book blogger challenge which I did purely for fun!

15 Day Book Blogger Challenge: Day 14!

Day 14: Tell us your deal breakers

My deal breakers:

  • Blogging can never interfere with uni, never.
  • If blogging doesn't seem fun anymore, I will stop.
Those two are pretty much it all when it to deal breakers. If I have too much going on at uni, I will stop blogging until it is all over or if blogging seems more like a job than a hobby I will stop.

Nick Merrick, can you keep it together?

Can I please have my own Nick Merrick (or the guy model who is in the cover)? I don't care if he doesn't know if he is gay or straight he could still be my hot best friend, right? I love this cover! It reminds me so much of the Australian covers which I cannot wait to see, because I adore the Australian covers! While I loved the blue from breathless, this background colour is a blue that I love myself as well (blue is my favourite colour!).

For anyone who hasn't read the elementals series I strongly suggest/advise you click the links below to find out more about this bloody fantastic series!

About the wonderful, fantastic author who brought us the Merrick Brothers!
Brigid Kemmerer is the author of The Elemental Series, about a family of four
brothers who control the elements, and their battle with those who want them dead. Storm, Spark,
and Spirit are available now wherever books are sold. To read the novella introducing Nick’s story,
be sure to check out Breathless
(http://www.brigidkemmerer.com/books/elemental-novellas/breathless/) available as an e-book only
from major e-book retailers. You can learn more about

Brigid and the Elemental boys at www.brigidkemmerer.com.

Now that we have the brilliant cover we need January to hurry up so we can read Secret and get lots of Nick/Adam moments!

15 Day Book Blogger Challenge: Day 13

Day 13: Describe one unappreciated book everyone should read

3 Willows by Ann Brashares

summer is a time to grow

seeds

Polly has an idea that she can't stop thinking about, one that involves changing a few things about herself. She's setting her sights on a more glamorous life, but it's going to take all of her focus. At least that way she won't have to watch her friends moving so far ahead.

roots

Jo is spending the summer at her family's beach house, working as a busgirl and bonding with the older, cooler girls she'll see at high school come September. She didn't count on a brief fling with a cute boy changing her entire summer. Or feeling embarrassed by her middle school friends. And she didn't count on her family at all. . .

leaves

Ama is not an outdoorsy girl. She wanted to be at an academic camp, doing research in an air-conditioned library, earning A's. Instead her summer scholarship lands her on a wilderness trip full of flirting teenagers, blisters, impossible hiking trails, and a sad lack of hair products.

It is a new summer. And a new sisterhood. Come grow with them.

From the author of The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, 3 Willows I loved more than Travelling Pants series. I could connect more, and I just enjoyed it so much more. Every teenage girl should read this one, no matter who you are, what your high school clicks are and what your economic status is, your true friends will always come out when you need them. For those who love Melina Marchetta and other Ann Brashares, you will enjoy 3 willows.

Each journey that the girls take you take it with them and it helps you understand who you are too. I think that more people need to read this one especially teenage girls!

What book do you think is unappreciated?
