Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that allows readers to showcase eagerly awaited upcoming releases. The week I have been waiting on Crash Into You by Katie McGarry!
From acclaimed author Katie McGarry comes an explosive new tale of a good girl with a reckless streak, a street-smart guy with nothing to lose, and a romance forged in the fast lane
The girl with straight As, designer clothes and the perfect life-that's who people expect Rachel Young to be. So the private-school junior keeps secrets from her wealthy parents and overbearing brothers...and she's just added two more to the list. One involves racing strangers down dark country roads in her Mustang GT. The other? Seventeen-year-old Isaiah Walker-a guy she has no business even talking to. But when the foster kid with the tattoos and intense gray eyes comes to her rescue, she can't get him out of her mind.
Isaiah has secrets, too. About where he lives, and how he really feels about Rachel. The last thing he needs is to get tangled up with a rich girl who wants to slum it on the south side for kicks-no matter how angelic she might look.
But when their shared love of street racing puts both their lives in jeopardy, they have six weeks to come up with a way out. Six weeks to discover just how far they'll go to save each other.
After loving McGarry's debut of Pushing the Limits and loving Dare You Too, I am super excited for Crash Into You AND it is Isaiah's story :D *squeell*
Crash Into You is out November 26th! So get onto it and if you haven't read PTL or DYT you should go check them out! You can find my review of DYT here!
What are you waiting on this week? Let me know!

Review Time #43
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Mass
Eighteen-year-old Celaena Sardothien is bold, daring and beautiful – the perfect seductress and the greatest assassin her world has ever known. But though she won the King’s contest and became his champion, Celaena has been granted neither her liberty nor the freedom to follow her heart. The slavery of the suffocating salt mines of Endovier that scarred her past is nothing compared to a life bound to her darkest enemy, a king whose rule is so dark and evil it is near impossible to defy. Celaena faces a choice that is tearing her heart to pieces: kill in cold blood for a man she hates, or risk sentencing those she loves to death. Celaena must decide what she will fight for: survival, love or the future of a kingdom. Because an assassin cannot have it all . . . And trying to may just destroy her.
Love or loathe Celaena, she will slice open your heart with her dagger and leave you bleeding long after the last page of the highly anticipated sequel in what is undeniably THE hottest new fantasy series.
Wow. This book was just simply amazing, so many twists and turns, deaths and new magical secrets arise. It was the perfect squeal to Throne of Glass which I also loved.
Celaena Sardothien is the King of Adarlan's Champion, pretty much meaning that she is the Kings assassin. We pick up around four months after the end of Throne of Glass and Celaena already has a secret, she isn't assassinating those who the King wants dead, but faking their deaths. We see a lot of her past in this book, why she "snapped" at Endovier, her family and Sam.
There is a lot of secrets this time around, people are not who they seem. But really what is to be expected, they are at war and no-one knows who side everyone is on. We meet some new characters and we are reunited with some favourites, Nehemia, Chaol and Dorian are back and we meet Roland, Mort and Archer. Each of the characters plays a role in their own right and everyone is keeping secrets.
As we found out in Throne of Glass we know that a few of characters have something magical in them or at least understand what is happening around them. Celaena learns more about the Wyrdmarks from Nehemia who seems to be hiding something from her. Dorian is starting to stand up to his father, who has more power than ever and with Celaena being his assassin his threat is greater than ever.
Chaol Westfall, Captain of the Guard, what can I say? We get to see more of him with Celaena *squeallll* and his complicated relationship with his father, yes the father who pretty much disowned when he decided to the Captain of the Guard instead of being a Lord. We also get an insight into his relationship with Dorian which is great because we didn't get to see much of this in Throne of Glass. Dorian Havilliard the Crowned Prince is finally sticking up for himself and looking past what his father is making the world become. Even after everything that happened in Throne of Glass Dorian and Celaena are still able to maintain a great friendship, the secrets that they uncover about themselves and each other. Nehemia is helping Dorian out with everything happening between their countries and his father.
Crown of Midnight was the perfect sequel to Throne of Glass the mystery, secrets and hidden pasts of characters. The ending will leave you in suspense wishing you had the next book in your hands right there and then.

Review Time #42

Cammie Morgan has one semester left until she graduates from the Gallagher Academy. Now she just has to stay alive that long.
In the heart-bounding conclusion to the bestselling Gallagher Girls series, Cammie faces her greatest mission yet. She finally knows why the terrorist organisation called the Circle of Cavan wanted her dead, but what they have planned next is even more terrifying. And if that isn't enough to worry about, Zach is who-knows-where, and his criminally insane mother is after Cammie.
The Gallagher Girls must sneak out (of the country), track down the Circle's elite members and stop them before they unleash a plot that will change Cammie- and the world- forever. (From Goodreads)
"Tell me Cameron Ann Morgan, what do you want to be when you grow up?"... "Alive."
I have been reading the Gallagher Girls since I was 13 and in year 8 at school, I found the series at Brisbane airport where I was about to go on adventure to Cairns. That day was the first time I had ever flown on a plane and that day was also the day I found out about the Gallagher Girls. I am now 18 and in my first year of University and the final Gallagher Girls book is out.
It is winter break, Cammie is with Bex, her mum and Bex's parents in London, of course they are on a mission with everything that has happened since Cammie came back from her summer holiday being tortured. They are on a hunt for the inner circle and of course they are very hard targets to get.
Zach and Mr. Solomon are off on a lead, Agent Townsend and Abby on another and of course Catherine is out there with vengeance on her mind. For the girls it might be their last semester of their senior year, but it is about surviving to see graduation and the circle everywhere, even in the Gallagher Academy.
United We Spy is so much more fast paced than any other book in the series. I read it on my kindle before my copy arrived and I felt myself going is this it? Dangerous missions that no-one can know about, traitors are everywhere and where ever you look the girls and Zach are in trouble. Travelling around the world to stop the inner circle and the original plan that Cavan had when he founded the group.
The characters, if possible, develop more so than ever before. We had Don't Judge a Girl by Her Cover which had Macey's history spotlighted, Bex has had her story told over all six books, Out of Sight, Out of Time was really Cammie's book more so than the others and United We Spy was Liz's past, something that we didn't get a lot of in the other books.
Cammie struggles with everything going on, she can't deal with people getting hurt and that graduation is literally just around the corner. The danger is everywhere and they can't hide from it when it involves saving the world from what the Circle of Cavan planned all those years ago.
"I'm a spy, Cam. I was born to do this- to be this. It's in my blood. And I will do it until the day I die. It's who I am,"..."the thing is I don't think you realise is... it's who you are too."
United We Spy was a great ending to my favourite series, while I am sad that it all over I can still re-read the series. The secrets are all out, the future is rocky, graduation is almost here... it is time to finish things once and for all.
"What is a Gallagher Girl?"
"She's a genius, a scientist, a heroine, a spy.. A Gallagher Girls is whatever she wants to be."

Review Time #41
Dead Jealous by Sharon Jones
People think of Mother Nature as a gentle lady. They forget that she's also Death...Sixteen-year-old Poppy Sinclair believes in quantum particles, not tarot cards, in Dawkins, not druids. Last summer, in a boating accident in the Lake District, Poppy had a brush with death. But the girl she finds face down in Scariswater hasn't been so lucky. As she fights to discover the truth behind what she believes is murder, Poppy is forced to concede that people and things are not always what they seem and, slipping ever deeper into a web of lies, jealousy and heart-stopping danger, she comes to realise - too late - that the one thing that can save her has been right there, all the time.
I wasn't expecting what I got from Dead Jealous, the mystery, the romance and all this pagan influence. I love mystery books, but I have tended to find that I can easily guess who is the murder or who is running everything. However, Dead Jealous leaves you hanging on until the end as to whose done it.
Poppy has had a rough year, she almost died from a boating accident, her parents got divorced, she is in love with her best friend and her mum is getting re-married. Now she has found a dead body, a guy that seems interested in her, and is trying to find out what happened to the missing girl who the dead girl was best friends with. Poppy has her flaws like any character but one that got me was her ability to trust everyone, just because no one has done wrong by her before doesn't mean no one ever is. You would think that after finding at dead body at a Pagan festival Poppy wouldn't be so trusting.
While the start is slow, once the mystery begins you can't help but get swept up in it, wanting to know who did it, who is going to die next and why is it all connected. Unfortunately for me I had college sport on and had to put it down, right when I didn't want to. The romance has you wishing that Poppy would just take a chance on telling Michael that she is in love with him. I enjoyed seeing things from Michael's perspective especially since you don't see some of the mystery that happens from his end through Poppy's eyes.
One of the things I enjoyed most about Dead Jealous, was that It was dark and I couldn't guess who was behind the murders. After the ending that was given and the preview of book 2, I cannot wait for the next one with the mystery that keeps on unfolding.
Thanks to Date A Book for the holding the competition on facebook for the copy!

From Spencer Hill Press
Summary from Goodreads:
The summer of her dreams is about to get a reality check.
They said it couldn't be done, but geeky sophomore Lauren Carlson transformed herself into a popular girl after moving to a new school halfway across the country. Amazing what losing her braces and going out for cheerleading will do. Only trouble is, the popular crowd is wearing on Lauren's nerves and she can't wait to return to summer camp where she's valued for her brain instead of her handsprings. She misses her old friends and most of all, her long time camp-only boyfriend, Seth. This year she intends to upgrade their relationship to year-round status once she's broken up with her new, jock boyfriend, Matt. He doesn't even begin to know the real her, a girl fascinated by the night sky who dreams of discovering new planets and galaxies.
But Matt isn't giving her up without a fight. As he makes his case to stay together, Lauren begins to realize his feelings run deeper than she ever would have guessed. What if the guy she thought she was meant to be with forever isn't really The One? Returning to Camp Juniper Point was supposed to ground her uprooted life, but she's more adrift than ever. Everything feels different and soon Lauren's friends are turning on her and both guys question what she really wants. Extract #4:
“Can
I ask you a question?” I’d been dying to ask him this for years,
but the old me had been too afraid.
“Shoot.”
He wrapped his arms around his knees and locked a hand around his
other wrist.
I
gathered my courage. “Why did you want to break up every year after
camp?”
In
the quiet that followed, I traced the white stitching on the
embroidery that outlined Madison’s initial.
When
Seth finally answered, his voice was low.
“It’s
easier to end things on good terms than risk something going wrong
during the school year.”
“Why
assume the worst?” I’d never given him reason to doubt me.
“I
saw what my dad went through after my mom left us.” He reached for
a stick to shove the logs around in the dusty fireplace as I marveled
that he’d finally admitted what I’d suspected. When Seth’s mom
abandoned him, she’d left a huge hole. No wonder he had trust
issues. Still, we could have worked through that if he’d given me a
chance. Opened up to me like this before.
“I
always figured I’d wait to get serious with anyone until I was…
really sure,” he continued.
“And
you were never sure of me?”
His
crooked grin made a surprise appearance, but his tone was dry. “I
was hoping this would be the year we’d be ready to take that step.”
Something
inside me collapsed. My chest felt so tight that for a minute I
couldn’t breathe. We’d been so close to developing something
amazing.
“Instead,
I showed up with someone else.”
Outside,
the wind rubbed tree limbs against the cabin, making a squeaking
scrape.
“It
wasn’t just that.” He put the stick down and looked at me. Really
looked me. “You showed up as
someone else. Someone I didn’t recognize with a new look, clothes,
interests.”
I
opened my mouth to protest but stayed silent when I followed his gaze
to my trendy sneakers.
“I
didn’t know who you were anymore,” Seth went on. “Since when
did you prefer dancing to stargazing, tanning to pursuing your
Aerospace Scholar dreams? That wasn’t the Lauren I knew. Loved.”
I
flinched. Who knew a verb tense could cut as deep as a knife? Seth no
longer loved me because I’d changed.
How
ironic that I’d come back to camp to get back to the things I’d
loved, especially Seth. But Matt had stopped that chance and,
suddenly, I was glad he had. What was so wrong with liking dance and
astronomy? Cheering and the science club? The popular and the
outsider cliques? The problem was, I hadn’t realized I could do
both, be
both. If I’d gone back to Seth, I would never have learned that.
I
looked over at my drying wedge sandals by the fireplace. They were
awesome, even if they had slowed us down. And yeah, I was the girl
who worried about weather-induced hair frizz.
So
maybe I had changed. And Seth had a point about letting my dreams
lapse. But why couldn’t he see through the make-up and clothes to
the person who still thrilled at the site of a meteor shower and drew
constellations on her notebook covers?
I
laid back, tired of justifying myself. “That girl’s gone, Seth.
I’m different now.”
Seth
stretched beside me. His amber eyes searched mine in the shadows
between us, a wistful smile lifting the corners of his mouth.
“It’s
not a bad thing,” he agreed, his fingers toying with my curls. “I
just miss the old you sometimes.”
I
closed my eyes and enjoyed his touch, knowing it wasn’t going any
further. After all, he cared about someone else, someone I’d never
be again.
“Sometimes…”
I edged a little closer to ease the empty ache inside. “…so do
I.”
